Will Wiersdorf’s path to Santa Clara men’s soccer isn’t the typical straight line from club to college. The Danville, California, native navigated a pandemic-restricted recruiting process, served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and then returned to earn the captain’s armband as a sophomore. Along the way, he’s learned to lead, to communicate, and to balance life’s biggest commitments — including marriage — while anchoring the Broncos in the heart of Stevens Stadium.
