Captains Football Freshmen Jayden Miller and Braylon Addy Honored by NJAC

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Two freshmen members of the Christopher Newport University football team were honored on Monday by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). Defensive back Jayden Miller was named the Defensive Rookie of the Week, and wide receiver Braylon Addy was selected the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Week. Miller and Addy helped lead the Captains to a 37-7 road victory on Saturday at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. The victory improved the Captains to 2-0 to start the 2026 season.
