A Dallas Cowboys defense that struggled in a Week 1 loss to the New York Giants got more bad news Monday. Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, starting safety Malik Hooker sustained a fractured forearm in Sunday’s game and is expected to miss multiple weeks. The report confirmed head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s postgame concern that Hooker had sustained a broken bone. Per the report, Hooker will consult with a hand specialist for a more precise prognosis. The Cowboys also lost starting linebacker Demarian Overshown to a hamstring injury during Sunday’s game.
