Sartell, Sauk Rapids-Rice name new head coach for girls hockey co-op

SARTELL, Minn. — The Storm’n Sabres, Sartell and Sauk Rapids-Rice’s co-op for girls’ hockey, announced on Sept. 14 that Dan Marod was appointed as the new head coach of the program heading into the new season. Marod supersedes Bre Hess, who had coached the program since the 2023-24 season prior to returning to her alma mater and joining the coaching staff at College of St. Benedict. An assistant on last year’s 7-17-2 team, Marod will be coaching a lot of new faces with a rather blank slate for a team that has not finished with a winning record since 2020.…
