06 or No6: Celebrate 20 Years Since Community’s Football Title

Community honored members of its 2006 state championship football team Friday night, marking 20 years since the program’s only undefeated season and only state title. The Ironmen finished that season 14-0, defeating Batavia 30-20 in the IHSA Class 6A state championship game Nov. 25, 2006, at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. The title came one year after Community fell to Morris 14-9 in the 2005 championship game.
