(September 14, 2026) – Sophomore Abby Archunde opened the 2026-27 season with the best round of her collegiate career Monday, firing a 2-under-par 70 to sit tied for second individually as Lubbock Christian University began play at the Shootout at Estrella at the Golf Club of Estrella. Competing on the par-72, 5,901-yard layout, the Lady Chaparrals posted an opening-round 315 (+27) and sit 12th in the 16-team field entering Tuesday’s final round.
