Ionia High School Athletic Hall of Fame reveals 2026 class

A class of seven individuals and one team will be inducted into the Ionia Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Sept. 19. Tim Ludwick, Tim Antonides, Marty Gelfhof, John Balice, coach Dan Painter, Dave Pinow and Pat Hummel are the individual inductees. The 1977 football team, which went 8-1 and tied a school record with five shutouts, rounds out the class. Ludwick was a key contributor to league and district championship basketball teams as a senior in 1982 and earned all-state honors before going on to play at Grand Valley.
