Nevada finishes ninth at season opener in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Nevada Women’s Golf closed out play at their season opener, the Branch Law Firm / McGuire Invitational, Tuesday, finishing the tournament in ninth play at a +31 total (895). Coco Kolbas and Payton Lovisa led the Wolf Pack, both notching top-20 finishes, posting scores of 74-74-72=220 (+4). Kolbas’ final round was highlighted by three birdies, two of those coming on both of the front nine par-fives. She ranked first in the field for par-five scoring, a promising stat to open the season.
