Referee Announced For Steelers-Patriots Game, And There Could Be Plenty Of Flags

Carl Cheffers will serve as the head official for Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots. The referee-focused Twitter/X account Football Zebras shared the news Tuesday morning. It will be only the second time in the past three seasons that Cheffers has officiated a Steelers regular-season game. The last time came in Week 16 of last season against the Detroit Lions, a 29-24 Steelers upset victory.
