Falcons soar past previously undefeated Elkin

EAST BEND — Forbush’s football team bounced back from a tough Unifi Bowl loss to pitch its first shutout in five years on Friday night with a 34-0 win against Elkin. With the victory, the Falcons improved to 3-1 overall, giving them some momentum heading into next Friday’s bye week. Forbush returns to the field on Sept. 25 for its final non-conference game against Atkins before starting Northwest 3A/4A Conference play the following Friday.
