Vallamsetty’s Wildcat Classic Victory Earns CCAA Weekly Award

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Coming off another impressive result to launch Chico State's 2026-27 men's golf fall season, Vineet Vallamsetty has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week following a home tournament win. Vallamsetty won the 2026 Wildcat Classic by two strokes with a 14-under-par 202 while helping Chico State capture the team title at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club. The sophomore from Newbury Park, Calif., was remarkably consistent over 54 holes, posting rounds of 68 (-4), 65 (-7) and 69 (-3).
