Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Alfred on the Road

ALFRED, N.Y. — Houghton University earned its second consecutive Empire 8 Conference victory Wednesday night, posting a 1-0 shutout of Alfred University at Yunevich Stadium. The Highlanders improved to 4-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 in Empire 8 play with the win. Houghton controlled the shot count throughout the match, finishing with a 20-8 advantage, including an 11-4 edge in the opening half. The Highlanders also earned five corner kicks.
