GILLIAN SMITH NAMED LACROSSE ASSISTANT COACH

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Lacrosse Head Coach Nicole Flores has announced the hiring Gillian Smith an assistant lacrosse coach. Smith joins VCU following her collegiate career at Cincinnati and currently also serves as a captain of the Ireland national lacrosse team. Smith also has recently served as a coach for Yellow Jackets South Lacrosse, a position she has held since 2021. Smith is a former student-athlete at Cincinnati and Old Dominion, playing 45 games with 14 starts over her four-year career. Smith played nine games last season for the Bearcats scoring one goal.
