BEAUMONT, Texas – With just 10.2 seconds remaining, Lamar University's Kamryn Harvey netted the game-winner to break the scoreless tie against UT Rio Grande Valley in Thursday's Southland Conference opener. This win marks Big Red's third consecutive shutout victory, the team's fifth shutout of the season, and the 37th shutout of the Nathan Kogut era. The Cardinals (4-1-3, 1-0-0 SLC) recorded 17 shots and earned seven corner kicks for the night.
