Orange Conclude Day One of Villanova/UD Invite

The Syracuse tennis team opened its fall slate on day one of the Villanova/UD Invite on Friday, Sept. 18. Haram Kim came out on top in a three-set battle with Villanova's Lauren Monti, winning 3-6, 6-3, 11-9. Temple's Marianthi Christoforidou defeated Emma Scaldalai 6-2, 6-2. Olivia Cela fell to Villanova's Olivia Corcoran in a tight 6-3, 7-6(5) match. Constance Levivier dropped her match against Temple's Irmak Ozturk, 6-3, 6-2. In doubles, Temple's Lou Baudouin and Irmak Ozturk defeated the Syracuse pairing of Scaldalai and Levivier, 6-3. Villanova's Bella De Luise and Miriam Gondorova topped Cela and Kim, 6-2.
