Bluejays Shut Out Dubuque on the Road

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Elmhurst University men’s soccer team shut out the University of Dubuque 3-0 Friday, Sept. 18, at Oyen Field. Elmhurst (3-2-2) took an early lead when Ashton Kerrigan scored at 11:03. Loretto Lopez struck again for the Bleujays, doubling the advantage at 26:05 unassisted. Goalkeeper Niyen Ruffin defended Dubuque’s (3-4-0) three shots on goal in the opening period, sending the Bluejays into halftime ahead 2-0.
