Fuentes paces USI women at OVC Preview meet

By: Dan McDonnell, USI Athletic Communication CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.— Sophomore Bella Fuentes ran to a seventh-place finish to lead University of Southern Indiana Women's Cross Country at the Ohio Valley Conference Preview Meet Friday evening. Fuentes completed the six-kilometer course in a personal-best time of 23 minutes, 7.8 seconds, which was less than 10 seconds off a top-five time in the 26-competitor field. As a team, the Screaming Eagles finished third in the three-team field with 60 total points.
