Genestay Clinches Match-Winning Point as Women’s Tennis Completes Comeback Over Wilmington

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Concluding their homestand Saturday afternoon, the Queens College women’s tennis team welcomed defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) champions Wilmington University Wildcats to Flushing for a conference matchup. After falling behind in doubles play, the Knights rallied to take a 3-1 lead in singles play. With the Wildcats battling back to tie the match at 3-3, junior Johanne Genestay clinched the victory at the No. 5 court with a three-set triumph, lifting Queens to a thrilling 4-3 comeback victory over Wilmington.
