Golden Bears suffer home defeat to high-powered Huskies
EDMONTON – The Golden Bears football team’s woes continued on Friday night, as the Saskatchewan Huskies scored an emphatic victory at Foote Field. Offensive and special teams errors were the story of the day for the green and gold, with three turnovers as well as two blocked punts consistently putting the Huskies in scoring range early. Lucas Scheck starred defensively for the visitors, grabbing two interceptions within a span of five minutes in the opening quarter to set the tone, while Owen Mazur got his hand on both of the blocked punts.
