Late Goal Pushes Women’s Soccer Past Colgate in PL Opener

HAMILTON, N.Y. — Senior midfielder Nadia Zaffanella delivered the game-winner in the 76th minute to lift Lafayette women’s soccer to a 2-1 victory over Colgate in its Patriot League opener on Saturday afternoon at Beyer-Small Field. Zaffanella, the reigning Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, eclipsed 20 career goals with the strike, tying her with Caroline Tuttle for the fourth-most goals in program history.
