Lauhingoa Leads Pioneers Past Cal State LA in Four Sets

HAYWARD, Calif. — Cal State East Bay returned to the win column Friday evening with a four-set victory over Cal State LA, 27-25, 24-26, 25-16, 25-9, at Pioneer Gymnasium. The opening two sets were tightly contested. East Bay battled through four ties and three lead changes in the first before taking the frame 27-25. Cal State LA answered in the second, with the teams trading the lead seven times and playing through eight ties. The Golden Eagles edged the Pioneers 26-24 to even the match at one set apiece.
