Romero’s Last Second Nod Pushes No. 10 Lynchburg To Victory Over RV Hope
Lynchburg, Va. — Angel Romero became the hero for the University of Lynchburg men’s soccer team as he knocked a header in sent from Hector Rodriguez with 13 seconds remaining to lift the Hornets to a 2-1 victory over Hope on Saturday afternoon at Shellenberger Field. The No. 10 Hornets (5-1-1) claimed their home-opening contest in exciting fashion. RV Hope (5-1-1) opened the scoring at 27:44 when Jackson Mindling recorded his fourth goal of the season.
