Strong Defensive Effort Leads Scarlet Raiders to Draw
NEWARK, N.J. — The Rutgers-Newark women’s soccer team battled Eastern University to a 0-0 draw Saturday evening at Frederick Douglass Field. The Scarlet Raiders move to 3-1-3 on the season following the draw, while Eastern moves to 2-3-1. Rutgers-Newark controlled much of the offensive pressure, recording nine shots compared to five for Eastern and putting eight attempts on target. Genesis Sarango led the Scarlet Raiders with three shots, all of which were on goal.
