Women’s Tennis Wins Doubles Crown at UNG Invitational

Junior Maria Clara Zotto joined with sophomore Marta Machado to win a doubles flight on Saturday to highlight the Grizzlies’ performance in a weather-shortened University of North Georgia Invitational in Dahlonega, Georgia, that opened the team’s fall schedule. The GGC duo defeated a pair from NCAA Division II Columbus State University (Georgia) by a 7-5 score to win the C flight in the tournament. In their first action for the Grizzlies, Clara Zotto-Machado defeated a pair of Division II opponents and one Division III team during the weekend.
