Eagles take set from No. 1 Nebraska in front of sell-out crowd in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball team (3-7) dropped a four-set decision to No. 1 Nebraska (10-0) on Sunday afternoon at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, falling 3-1 (25-10, 25-17, 25-27, 25-14) in the second match of the Husker Invitational. In its first-ever meeting with the Huskers, and its first-ever match against a No. 1-ranked opponent, FGCU earned the third set, 27-25, in front of a crowd of 10,497, becoming one of just three teams to take a set from Nebraska this season.
