WALNUT COVE — South Stokes leaned on its run game and its pass rush just as it had planned, and the formula was enough to hold off a fourth-quarter rally from North Stokes on Friday, Sept. 18, as the Sauras beat their county rival 27-14 to open Greater Triad 1A/2A Conference play. Kymani Brown rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries and added a receiving score, powering an offense that finished with 380 total yards.
