ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior Reed Theiss ended the first day of the Navy Invitational on Saturday in a tie for 16th after shooting a two-over-par 144. After a first-round 76, Theiss netted six birdies for a three-under-par 68 that featured back-to-back-to-back birdies twice in the round.Pranit Gupta, making his first collegiate start, landed in 42nd following rounds of 77 and 71.
