A native of Davenport, Fla., Baez was outstanding in the first tournament of the season. At the Savannah Lakes Men's Invitational, Baez led the field for two rounds before finishing in a tie for fifth. His effort guided the Pacers to a 17-stroke victory over Wingate and North Georgia.
