Borglund Named ECC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week; Leahy and Szczotka Tabbed to Honor Roll

COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Women’s Soccer freshman Astrid Borglund (Stockholm, Sweden/Hersby Gymnasium) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Week Four and freshman Connor Leahy (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) and sophomore Casey Szczotka (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck) have been tabbed to the Honor Roll. Borglund recorded her first career hat trick and scored the game-winning goal in Mercy’s 7-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday.
