Football: Louisiana’s Jacob Earns SBC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana redshirt senior defensive back Collin Jacob was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday following his standout performance in the Ragin’ Cajuns’ 21-14 victory over UAB on Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium. Jacob played a key role in a Louisiana defensive effort that limited the Blazers to 218 yards of total offense, including 74 yards on the ground – 156 below their season average coming into the game.
