Gooneratne, Women’s Golf Win Mary Fossum Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Sophomore Rhianna Gooneratne fired an even-par 144 to claim her first-career medalist honors and the University of Delaware women’s golf team won its first tournament of the season at the Mary Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State. The Fightin’ Blue Hens carded a team score of 23-over par 599 to win by four strokes over Central Michigan. The 15-team tournament was played at the par-72, 6,370-yard Forest Akers West.
