SC State Battles Alabama A&M in Road Loss

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — South Carolina State generated six shots and remained within striking distance for much of the match before falling 3-0 to Alabama A&M in women's soccer action Sunday at the Alabama A&M Soccer Field. Alabama A&M (2-4-2) struck first when Jordyn Washington scored in the fourth minute, giving the host Bulldogs an early 1-0 advantage. SC State (0-9-1) responded by controlling the attacking chances for the remainder of the opening half.
