Tina Kintiroglou Opens Season with UAA Athlete of the Week Selection

CHICAGO — University of Chicago sophomore Tina Kintiroglou opened the season being named the UAA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, as announced by the University Athletic Association office on Monday afternoon. Kintiroglou finished the opening weekend with an impressive 5-0 record at the Kenyon Invitational last weekend. The sophomore swept her two singles matches against UAA foes on Saturday, outlasting Allison Wayne from Case Western with a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 victory to start the day and rounding out the day with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Carnegie Mellon.
