Comets Finish Second at Dunning Invitational

WEST POINT, Miss. – The UT Dallas men’s golf team wrapped up the first tournament of the season by placing second at the Dunning Invitational at Mossy Oak Golf Club on Tuesday. The Comets shot a 279-280-294=853 (-11), finishing five shots behind Valdosta State (848/-16). UTD beat out host Delta State (864/E), Miles (867/+3) and seven other teams. Their 54-hole score of 853 was the fourth-lowest in school history. The Comets also led all teams with 53 birdies in the tournament.
