Doan Claims Medalist Honors At The Bear’s Club

JUPITER, Fla. – Uy Doan claimed a three-shot victory to win his first collegiate tournament and lead the Stetson University men’s golf team to a third-place finish Tuesday at the Florida Atlantic Invitational at The Bear’s Club. Doan, a sophomore from Hanoi, Vietnam, carded rounds of 66-68-68 to finish the 54-hole tournament at 14-under 202. He finished three strokes ahead of runner-up NaShawn Tyson of host Florida Atlantic and four strokes ahead of Florida’s Parker Severs and Jackson Ormond, who tied for third.
