Drelinger Sets New Program-Record, Cross Country Competes at UCR Invitational

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Freshman Emma Drelinger set a new University of California, Merced women's cross country 6k record in her collegiate debut at the UCR Invitational on Saturday morning. Jorge Mandujano was the Bobcats top scorer on the men's side with a personal-best time in the 8k. Drelinger led the Bobcats with a program-record time of 21:15.2, improving the previous record set by Leslie Aquino in the season opener by over 30 seconds. Drelinger placed 56th in the invite.
