Flames to bring back 2004 jersey as special alternate for 2026-27

As they say goodbye to the Scotiabank Saddledome, the Calgary Flames are bringing back one of the franchise's most iconic looks. Calgary announced during the first intermission of Tuesday's pre-season game against the Vancouver Canucks that its 2004 jerseys will return for the 2026-27 season as a special alternate uniform. The Flames wore the jerseys, featuring a black C and their "Blasty" alternate logo on the shoulders, from 2003 to 2007, most notably advancing to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2004 before falling to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
