Among the items on the agenda was electing a new chair of the board with Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs retiring from the position after a 19-year run. The league announced that Capitals owner Ted Leonsis was a unanimous selection in voting and has been appointed to the role. Meanwhile, Flames owner Murray Edwards will serve as vice-chair.
