Montano Named Rookie and Runner of the Week

Freshman and Bronx native Amanda Montano was named the CUNYAC Rookie and Runner of the Week for the week ending September 21, 2026. Montano placed sixth overall out of 52 runners at the Caldwell Cougar Chase, completing the 5K course in 22:35.3. Montano and her teammates are back in action on Saturday when they will compete at the St Joseph's University (LI) Golden Eagle Invitational which will be contested on the Stony Brook campus. Action gets underway at 11:00 AM.
