Zegarski Named BIG EAST Athlete of the Week

Butler's William Zegarski has been named the BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week for cross country, as announced by the conference office Tuesday, Sept. 22. Zegarski led the Butler squad with a 12 th -place individual finish at the John McNichols Invitational Saturday morning, covering the 8k course in a time of 24:00.7. The meet, held on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course that will host the 2026 NCAA Championships in November, drew a loaded field that included 14 nationally-ranked teams.
