34 NHL Players Waived: Key Names Include Johansson and Mermis

A boatload of players have been cut from NHL training camps. On Wednesday, 34 players across the league were placed on waivers, making them available to the other 31 teams in the NHL. If they were to clear the wire on Thursday, they would be eligible to be assigned to their respective American Hockey League affiliates.
