Estefana Alejandra Casillas Velasco named CCIW Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Estefana Alejandra Casillas Velasco of the Augustana Vikings women’s tennis team has been named the CCIW Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. Casillas Velasco finished the week with a perfect 4-0 record that helped Augie remain undefeated in CCIW action at 4-0. In the No. 3 spot in singles play for the Vikings, the freshman earned wins with scores of 6-4, 6-1 against Carthage and 6-, 4-6, 6-2 over Carroll. In doubles, Casillas Velasco was victorious alongside Maripaz Ramirez with set scores of 6-4 and 6-2.
