Martinson Earns SBC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Honors

NEW ORLEANS - App State's Noah Martinson was named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. Martinson led the Mountaineers to an impressive second-place team finish at last Friday's Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. His ninth-place individual finish (in a field of 302 runners) helped App State place behind only No. 4 nationally ranked Alabama and ahead of such programs as Georgia Tech, Auburn and Clemson in the 29-team field.
