Baseball Opens Fall Practice in Year Three Under McGuire, Welcomes 22 Newcomers

ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Winthrop University baseball team begins its fall schedule on Friday, Sept. 25, under third-year head coach Mike McGuire. “I’m excited about getting on the field with our entire team,” said McGuire. “Individual work has been very productive but I look forward to us getting on the field and competing together everyday together.” The Eagles return 16 players from the ball club last year, while also welcoming 22 new players to the program, including 14 transfers and eight freshmen.
