Taylor leads strong running back group

Last year as a sophomore, Lufkin’s Robert Taylor was part of a running back room that included Kenny Waters, Kylon Coleman and Amari Alexander. Now, as a junior, Taylor is a starter and is part of a group that again includes Alexander, along with Kayden Phillips and Jaquaveon Johnson. The running back group had its best game of the season in last week’s 35-14 road win over Baytown Sterling that saw the Panthers even their record at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in District 9-5A.
