Lions’ Second-Half Rally Falls Short in 24-14 Loss to Central Missouri

JOPLIN, Mo. — Missouri Southern football fell to Central Missouri, 24-14 Saturday afternoon at Fred G. Hughes Stadium. MSSU put together a 16-play, 81-yard touchdown drive in the third quarter, but the second-half push was not enough to overcome Central Missouri. The Lions are now 1-3 overall and 0-2 in MIAA conference play. UCM is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Isaiah Green caught six passes for 84 yards and added an 11-yard punt return.
