No. 25 Field Hockey Falls in Home Opener to Rowan, 2-1

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The University of Lynchburg field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision to Rowan on Saturday at Shellenberger Field. Rowan struck first in the opening quarter, as Sydney Kowalczyk put the Profs ahead to give the visitors an early 1-0 advantage. Lynchburg continued to work its way into the contest and found the equalizer late in the second quarter.
