Red Foxes Shutout the Purple Eagles

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Marist women's soccer team defeated the Niagara Purple Eagles 3-0 on Saturday evening inside Tenney Stadium. Sophomore forward Ella Bryan gave the Red Foxes an early lead in the 11th minute off of a free kick from junior defender Caroline Liptak. Marist kept their defense strong throughout the rest of the first half. This momentum stuck with them, as junior forward Margaret Johnson banked her second goal of the season in the 27th minute. Not long after, grad student forward Marissa Foster scored on a breakaway in the 30th minute, also her second of the season....
