Sauvy runs for early touchdown, football falls to Carleton
NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College football team started fast before getting stymied by crosstown-rival Carleton College in a 37-7 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) loss on Saturday afternoon at a rainy Klein Field at Manitou. Senior Bryon Sauvy ripped off a 71-yard touchdown run on the third play from scrimmage for St. Olaf (0-3, 0-2 MIAC), but Carleton matched the score with a touchdown on its first possession and scored the final 37 points of the game to keep possession of the Goat Trophy.
