Trojans Battle Back but Fall to Converse in High-Scoring Conference Clash

MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive men’s soccer team found the back of the net three times but came up short against Converse in a 6-3 Conference Carolinas contest Saturday afternoon at Amon Field. The Trojans (2-6, 1-4 CC) answered an early Converse goal with an equalizer from Pierce Slater in the 10th minute before the Valkyries regained control with a pair of second-half scoring runs.
